Lynch performed complete replacement of the Faunce Corner Road bridge over Interstate 195 using conventional methods for both the substructure and superstructure, as well as complete reconstruction of Faunce Corner Road including excavation, utilities, traffic signals and bituminous concrete paving work.

This project involved the replacement of the existing bridge (superstructure and substructure) carrying Faunce Corner Road over Interstate 195 in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. The project was completed in multiple phases in order to maintain three lanes of travel at all times. The complete bridge replacement included excavation down to bedrock, approximately 6,000 cubic yards of cast in place concrete (including mass concrete monitoring), and the erection of thirty-two 62 Ton NEBT Girders. In addition, the civil components of the job included a completely new drainage system with over 100 structures and two infiltration basins, three new signalized intersections, widening and resurfacing work; both on Faunce Corner Road and Interstate 195. Lynch implemented the latest technology in temporary earth support in order to construct the project in phases with minimum disruption to the motoring public, saving time and cost from the original design. Lynch also took the lead on coordination of the relocation or replacement of 10 different utilities, both underground and overhead throughout the project limits.
